Biography

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hindustan Power Projects Private Limited (HPPPL), Mr. Ratul Puri, has played a key role in enabling the organization to emerge as one of the leading integrated power players in the country. The visionary leader, holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, mathematics and computer science from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, based in Pittsburgh.

Recognition

In 2002, he became ‘Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ for his contribution towards the Indian manufacturing industry.  In December 2007, Business Today rated Ratul Puri among the top 21 young leaders in the country who could contour India’s destiny in the 21st century.  Dataquest magazine named him amongst the “Young Brigade in the IT Industry”.  He has been a part of many think tanks that work towards evolving solutions to usher energy sufficiency in India. He was also invited to be a part of the World Economic Forum as one of the Young Global leaders.
