Message from Dawn Hogan Akers - September 1
This picture is from my wedding, September 2,1967 - 52 years ago! My mother made my dress. It is beautiful - I still have it. She also made the five bridesmaids dresses in the week before the wedding. We had ordered dresses and when we went to get them, they were not what we ordered. We left the store, went straight to the fabric store & my mother made the 5 dresses using the same pattern as my dress ( which she had finished 2 months prior to the wedding). Bob & I are going to Atlanta tomorrow for Labor Day lunch - our hostess will be the flower girl from the wedding, my cousin Jane Ogle. My sister, Pat, & brother-in-law Bill (couple on far left of photo) will also be there. A great way to celebrate our anniversary! wedding hostess dresses
